What is SIBO/Small intestinal bacterial overgrowth:

Small intestine bacterial overgrowth and is the leading cause of IBS and effects women at double the rate. It accounts for 70-90% of all IBS.

What is Candida:

Candida is a yeast that lives in the mouth, intestines, and skin. The fungus is harmless at normal levels, but modern life often leads to overgrowth in the digestive track. Use of antibiotics is one of the leading risk factors for Candida.

DIE-OFF

If you are taking these products for Candida or SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth) die-off is a common side effect in the first few weeks of taking them.

It is often a good sign that it’s working, and you are returning your bacterial and fungal balance to normal levels.

Die-off, when taking effective supplements, happens because your immune system is reacting to killing off the fungal or bacterial overgrowth. It will subside once your body has successfully killed off the overgrowth, but this can take a week or two. Die-off symptoms are usually at their worst
the first few days.

A lot of what we feel when we encounter an illness or health threats, isn’t a result of the infection or bacteria itself, but the body’s reaction to removing and clearing it out.

The science of die-off:

When you kill off the unwanted overgrowth of small intestinal bacterial overgrowth or candida a reaction takes place in the body. This is called the Herxheimer or Herx Reaction. It usually takes place short-term from a few days to a few weeks and is a natural detoxification reaction in the body well studied in medicine. As the body detoxifies, it is not uncommon to experience flu-like symptoms including headache, joint and muscle pain, body aches, general malaise, sweating, chills, nausea, or other symptoms.

What Dr. Freeman says

“In the case of Small intestinal bacterial overgrowth, it reacts to the lipopolysaccharides released from bacteria as they die and break apart to be cleared out by the body. This process releases something known as cytokines. This can cause a systemic inflammatory reaction that can make
you feel unwell. It is similar for Candida overgrowth and usually only lasts a week or two.”

Suggested dose:

Take 1 capsule day and night, or as directed by your health professional. We advise taking this supplement on a full stomach.

The maximum dosage is 3 capsules daily.

When taking for SIBO/SIFO/CANDIDA:

This product should be taken three times daily if being used in combination with Fix No1 for candida (Small intestinal fungal overgrowth/SIFO), or small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO).

• Always read the label and health warnings. Follow the directions for use. If symptoms persist, talk to your health professional. Minerals can only be of assistance if dietary intake is inadequate.
• Do not use if cap seal is broken.
• Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place.
• May contain traces of crustacea (shellfish) and fish, as kelp is a seaweed which may have come in contact with fish and crustacea in the ocean.
